Bangladesh Welfare Association - History and Activities

The Bangladesh Welfare Association Community Development Trust was established in 1978 so for more than a quarter of a century, we have been working to meet the needs of the Bangladeshi community of Burnley and Pendle.

As one of the most established community development organisations in the North West of England, we offer a broad range of services and support facilities, some typical examples of which are listed below.

Services and Events:

  • After school homework classes
  • Drugs awareness training
  • Advice surgery
  • Homework centre
  • Environmental projects
  • Mosaic design
  • Learning through allotments
